Within my soul, a fortress lies,
Its walls rise strong beneath calm skies.

I guard the gates with steady care,
Deciding what may enter there.

Desires linger, judgments call,
But they shall never breach the wall.

Gratitude knocks with gentle tone,
And finds the citadel its home.
